If I keep a bough in my heart, a singing bird will come.” – Ancient Chinese Proverb

Sheila Hailstone, a 7-year Metastatic Breast Cancer survivor, has put her skills as a writer to work, by documenting her journey through cancer. Her book Dancing Around Cancer was written to uplift and inspire anyone on their Cancer journey.

Always passionate about helping others, this easy-to-read book presents reflections in the form of Haibun, a combination of prose poem and Haiku. It is available on Amazon here.

All profits from the sale of this book will be donated to Cancer research.

Sheila has a diverse background, in teaching and in business. She is both a writer and a highly enchanting speaker and storyteller.

Enthusiastic about helping others find their voice, she has trained many to become proficient in public speaking. Over the years of her involvement in Toastmasters, Sheila has set up two ongoing Toastmaster clubs. The most recent club is Christchurch Women’s Toastmasters, where women are supported to succeed in any venture and to become confident to speak up and be heard.

Praise for Dancing Around Cancer

We currently have a number of women who are on their own cancer journey and I am sure that your book will provide a touch point of encouragement and inspiration to them, their family members, friends and colleagues. We wish you all the very best with your forthcoming book launch and book sales.
